At Eyecare Associates of Columbus we are able to provide you with the best contacts from the best brands that are available today. Many people who thought they could not wear contacts, are able to, with contacts for astigmatism, bifocal contacts and extended wear contacts.

We have a number of contact lens programs that replace your lenses on a daily, weekly or extended basis to insure that your eyes remain healthy with clean fresh lenses. The anti-reflective lenses made to stay clean.
Crizal Avancé with Scotchgard Protector lenses repel stains, dirt and smudges better than any other, making them the easiest to clean.  And, while many anti-reflective lenses offer an easy-to-clean surface when new, the effectiveness of this feature deteriorates over time, leaving the lenses difficult to clean.  Independent Lab tests prove Crizal Avancé with Scotchgard Protector lenses start out the easiest to clean and stay that way over the life of the prescription.  Plus, with 100% patient satisfaction, all Crizal lenses have a lifetime warranty (i.e. lifetime of the prescription).

Since 1959, with the invention of the world’s first progressives, Varilux has innovated lens science to advance and set new standards of performance for vision and vision care for presbyopic patients. Varilux progressive lenses provide clear vision at all distances without the age-old and unsightly bifocal lines. 

Varilux lenses are specifically designed for people over 40 who experience presbyopia – a condition in which near vision (needed when reading, sewing or working at the computer) becomes increasingly blurred with age. Varilux enables you to see near, far and everything in-between and look fabulous at the same time.

80% of patients want more cosmetically appealing eyeglass lenses. Thin&Lite Lenses are made from high-index plastic resulting in a thinner, flatter more comfortable lens. With a higher refractive index Thin&Lite lenses produce the same vision correction as a regular plastic lens but in a thinner and flatter lens—for improved appearance and better vision. A high quality anti-glare treatment, like Crizal Alizé, is recommended for Thin&Lite to make the most of your lens performance.

Transitions Lenses change from clear to dark in the presence of ultraviolet light and block 100% of harmful UV rays. This innovative photochromic technology has produced unparalleled eyewear performance. Transitions Lenses are compatible with bifocals, trifocals, progressives, shatter-resistant and standard lenses, and hi index materials.

Transitions Lenses begin to darken the moment they are exposed to UV light. The greater the intensity of UV rays, the darker the lenses become. The moment UV rays are no longer present, the lenses begin to fade back to clear. Most wearers report that the adjustment happens so smoothly, they are unaware of it.

Transitions Lenses contain special photochromic dyes that cause the lenses to activate, or darken, when exposed to ultraviolet rays in sunlight. When the UV light diminishes, the lenses fade back. As light conditions change, the level of tint adjusts, offering the right tint at the right time. It’s important to note that the UV blockage remains constant. Transitions Lenses provide automatic protection from UV rays in both the clear and darkened states.
