Stratus OCT Retinal Exam
Introducing The Stratus OCT Retinal Exam, a highly advanced scanning system that can help in the diagnosis of a wide range of vision problems. Stratus OCT produces highly detailed images of the retina, the innermost layer of the interior of the eye, and it is the first and only instrument that can “see” below the surface of the retina to examine the retinal layers.
Stratus OCT is an exciting, important advance in eye care technology. The new system enables us to clearly see internal structures inside the eye, so problems can be identified and treated before they progress. Stratus OCT is a powerful tool that helps us do more than ever before to protect a patient’s vision.
Stratus OCT provides detailed, x-ray–like images of the structures affected by glaucoma and other abnormalities of the retina, including detached retina, macular holes, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), and more. Stratus OCT never touches the eye, so there’s no discomfort. It is also safe and requires only minutes to scan the eye.
optomap® Retinal Exam

Optomap Retinal Examinations, provide eye-care practitioners with clinically useful information that facilitates the early detection of disorders and diseases evidenced in the retina.
The optomap retinal image gives eye-care professionals a much larger view (200 degrees) of the back of the eye – your retina – than conventional eye exam equipment. The images can be taken in less than a second without dilating your pupils.
The optomap image is displayed immediately after being taken, allowing the eye care professional to review it with you quickly. Using the internet, the image can be sent anywhere in the world for review.
Each optomap image is as individual as fingerprints or DNA and can provide eye care professionals with a unique view of your health very quickly and comfortably.
The optomap retinal image offers many advantages including:
| • | An ultra-widefield view of the retina |
| • | Comfortable and quick image capture |
| • | Non-invasive |
| • | Helps you understand your eye health |
| • | Provides permanent records for future comparison |
| • | The optomap technology does not require pupil dilation! |
| • | Patient can resume normal activities immediately |
